2025/2026 Season
The 25/26 season has now begun and we think it’s going to be a good one for our Raptors teams! Let’s hear from our captains….
Olivia - Raptors 1’s Captain:
''This season Raptors 1s face both the Western Regional League, and for the first time ever, we tackle Promo League! The team have proved to be a strong side in the Regional League, winning every game played so far. The Promo League has presented tougher competition but the 1s are embracing the challenge and determined to keep pushing ourselves for the rest of the season''.
Adele - Raptors 2's Captain:
''The 2s have already shown amazing growth in Regional league. Last season, the 2s had just been promoted up and we faced some really tough challenges. I’m really proud of how the team has pulled together in these first few games and tackled matches with determination and energy! It’s a real pleasure playing with such a great bunch of people.
I’m excited to see how we can continue to develop and improve over the course of the season!''
Dan - Raptors 3's Captain:
“Only 2 games into the season so far but I've been nothing short of amazed how well the team has settled, encouraged and supported each other. We've proven in each game we can adapt and fight to get to and achieve our goals for the season and continue to be the vibiest team in Raptors!”
Phil - Raptors 4's Captain:
“Since I was invited to be the Captain for the Raptors 4s team at the start of the 2025/26 season, I’ve had the privilege of working with a really dedicated and enthusiastic team of players and an experienced coaching team, who are all committed to supporting each other to improve.
There’s been a lot of changes for the 4s team this season, including plenty of new faces to Korfball and it’s been fantastic to see how everyone has taken to the sport since the start of the season.
As a team, we’re learning all the time about individual playing styles and connections in our respective divisions and it’s been fantastic to see people grow in confidence and experience, both in training and during matches.
We have made a really positive start to the season in a really competitive league against a number of established teams and I’m so thrilled to see how much the team has progressed since we scored that first win.
There will be some tough matches to come, but it will give us all some fantastic experience of how other teams play and setup and I just want to thank everyone (coaches and players) for all their hard work and support this season!”
